Charming 1923 beach cottage in a quiet and private Courtside setting in the heart of Mission Beach. This bit of paradise has been updated and newly furnished in a modern beach-house style. Only steps from Mission Bay, 500 yards to the Ocean, and a short walk to restaurants, shops, and Catamaran Spa, this cottage is the best of both worlds – easy access to the excitement and energy of the beach, yet near the bay for a calm respite to refresh the soul.
Inviting and comfortable living room features a gas fireplace and large-screen TV. Well-equipped eat-in kitchen provides informal seating for up to 6. Gate-leg table allows more formal dining when expanded in living room.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, flat-screen TV, desk, and private bathroom with shower. A second bedroom also includes a queen bed. The third bedroom serves as a sitting room, office, or sleeping area. Adjacent to the living room, it features a twin bed, cozy chair, flat-screen TV, and expandable work table.
A private, fenced, and secure deck is great for small children, outside dining, or quiet reading. The cottage is perfect for a beach vacation, but if you need to bring that laptop, it is a great place for getting some work done. A desk and computer chair are available in the master bedroom; a portable laptop table allows for more informal computer use throughout the house.
Cottage comes complete with cable TV, wireless internet, dishwasher, full-sized washer/dryer, bathtub/shower, gas fireplace, gas BBQ, 1 small parking spot, and even 2 kayaks!
The three bedrooms easily sleep 5; an extra mattress in the single room accommodates a 6th person.
My wife, my 2 small children and I stayed here fall break of 2010. Would easily accomodate 5-6 adults. We loved it! Great for riding bikes or walking around the bay trail or right over to Pacific Beach. It couldn't be more centrally located for Sea World, the SD Zoo and other area attractions. Ride/walk over to the rental place for water sports. The house was very clean and seemed recently updated. Cable and internet if you want it. Just a great week!
We spent four days in this wonderful cottage perfectly located 2 blocks from the ocean. We loved how we were able to bring our dog along for his first trip ever to the beach and he had a great time too! While it was just the two of us, there is enough space for a family or a group of friends and the kitchen makes preparing your own food a breeze.
